I am very frustrated by the moronic censorship of posts and comments. Three times I have tried to make reference to a well known web service who name has two syllables and begins with the letter "Y." The first time the comment was banned as "e-mail," which is total nonsense, because there was no reference to e-mail there. The second time the word was simply deleted (with no indication) which made my comment meaningless and made me look illiterate. What is the problem? Why are the censors instructed to remove any reference to other major internet operations such as FB, G, and Y? (I can't even mention them here, as I'm sure they would be censored again.) It is ludicrous. Today I got an investors newsletter from 247wallstreet that listed ten companies/issuers that they predict will be gone by the end of 2012. I was astounded to see that Friendfinder Networks was one of the companies listed. This kind of customer treatment is, I believe, a significant part of the explanation. Your competitors don't censor postings in this manner. It's especially galling to have to battle this idiocy in the context of paying for this service.

Comments Deleted Without Explanation? The comment immediately above was submitted yesterday afternoon, but today it was gone. Luckily I saved a copy of it. Why was it simply deleted?

I was told previously that is was AGAINST OP policy for posts here simply to be deleted without explanation and without warning to the person posting. It had happened to me earlier, and at first OP denied that it had deleted my post, then said that such deletion with any warning or explanation was contrary to Customer Service policy. I did not find your e-mail explanation to be very persuasive, but since freedom of the press belongs to whomever owns the press, there's nothing I can do about it. If you folks choose to bury your heads in the sand, that's your decision. I would like to mention, however, that the e-mail I received contained a link labeled "Rate our service." When I clicked on the link, I got the message "This URL is invalid." Somehow that doesn't surprise me either.
